叶翰（Hans van Ess），慕尼黑大学汉学系教授、马克斯·韦伯基金会主席。主要著作有：《内部与外部：早期史学作品<史记>的研究方法》（Views from Within; Views from Beyond. Approaches to the Shiji as an Early Work of Historiography），《<报任安书>：司马迁的遗产》（The Letter To Ren An. Sima Qian’s Legacy）。

内容简介：

司马迁在《史记》中记述的最后一件事是什么？学界对此问题已有很多讨论。司马迁自己提供了三个不同的日期。无论司马迁自己或他的后继者写了什么，《史记》中的一些隐晦之处表明，其编纂者知道汉武帝的继承人——卫皇后所生的戾太子的残酷结局。本次讲座将聚焦与此事件相关的一些段落，探讨卫氏家族在汉武帝去世前的20年里所扮演的角色，并试图说明为什么这可能对解释《史记》有重要作用。

Much has been written about the question of which are the last events that Sima Qian wrote about in his Shiji. He himself has supplied three different dates. No matter what Sima Qian himself wrote or what did his successors, there are a number of oblique references in the Shiji that show that its compilers knew the story of the cruel end of Han Wudi’s Heir, the Li Taizi from the Wei Family. This talk will look into some passages that are relevant for this event and into the role that the Wei family played in the last two decades before the Emperor’s death. It will also try to show why this maybe important for attempts at interpreting the Shiji.
