David Schaberg

David Schaberg (Ph.D. Harvard University) is Professor of Chinese Literature and Thought at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he also serves as Dean of Humanities. His numerous publications on early Chinese poetry, historiography, and thought include A Patterned Past: Form and Thought in Early Chinese Historiography (Harvard East Asian Monographs, 2001). Schaberg is also the co-translator of a new English translation of the Zuo zhuan (University of Washington Press, 2016).
