Rong Xinjiang 榮新江

Rong Xinjiang 榮新江 (Ph.D. Peking University) is Professor of History and Boya Chair Professor at Peking University, Director of the Chinese Society for the History of the Tang Dynasty, and Executive Director of the Institute of Turfan, Dunhuang. A leading scholar in Dunhuang studies and the history of Chinese foreign cultural exchange, he has published widely, including Medieval China and External Civilization (SDX Joint Publishing Company, 2001), Chang’an: Gender, Memory and Others in the Sui and Tang Dynasties (Hong Kong SDX Joint Publishing Company, 2009), and Medieval China and Sogdian Culture (SDX Joint Publishing Company, 2014).
