Paul Rakita Goldin (Ph.D. Harvard University) is Professor of Chinese Thought at the University of Pennsylvania. His main area of research is Warring States (fifth through third centuries BCE) intellectual and cultural history. His numerous scholarly publications include Rituals of the Way: The Philosophy of Xunzi (Open Court, 1999), After Confucius: Studies in Early Chinese Philosophy (University of Hawaii Press, 2005), Confucianism (University of California Press, 2010) and various edited volumes.
