Denis Feeney (D.Phil. Oxford University) is the Giger Professor of Latin at Princeton University where he specializes in Roman culture with a focus on Latin literature. In addition to numerous articles, his books include The Gods in Epic (Oxford University Press, 1991), Literature and Religion at Rome (Cambridge University Press, 1998), Traditions and Contexts in the Poetry of Horace (Cambridge University Press, 2002), Caesar’s Calendar: Ancient Time and the Beginnings of History (California University Press, 2008), and Beyond Greek: The Beginnings of Latin Literature (Harvard University Press, 2016).
